Mathematics in the Early Years

This session explores all key areas of early mathematics— numbers and counting, spatial awareness, mathematical language, and the use of maths in everyday environments indoors and outdoors. It highlights how toddlers naturally engage in frequent mathematical exploration and shows how practitioners can use everyday moments to support and strengthen children’s mathematical understanding and development.
